Patrick McClintock was born in Richlands, Virginia. After receiving his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 1990, he began practicing law in Tazewell, Virginia. After ten years in private practice, Patrick became an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Tazewell County in 2000.

In the years since Patrick also served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Washington County and the City of Danville. Patrick joined the Buchanan County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 201­­7. Patrick lives in Richlands with his wife, Karen, and in his spare time enjoys traveling, music, and spending time with his family.
