Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys

On August 9, 2015, Buchanan County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Gerald Arrington was elected to the Board of Directors for the Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys (VACA).  The VACA is divided by Congressional District, with Buchanan County lying within the Ninth District, spanning all counties from Roanoke to Lee County.  Members of the Board of Directors are voted upon by each of the Commonwealth’s Attorneys located within that district.

Gerald Arrington is the first Commonwealth’s Attorney from Buchanan County to be elected as a Director for the VACA.  When asked for comment, Arrington stated, “it is truly an honor that my peers have considered me a leader in our service to the Commonwealth, and I look forward to representing Buchanan County, and all of the Ninth District, before the VACA.”
